Orignally intent on being a doctor, Richard has played several on TV, including "Dr. Franklin" on Babylon
5. Until his untimely death on May 22, 2004, Rick traveled with Jason Carter teaching "The Biggs/Carter
Experience."

Jason Cater
Best known for his role as "Marcus" on the sci-fi hit Babylon 5, Jason enjoys the world of anime
through the eyes of his daughter.
Tiffany Grant
An ardent fan of anything Star Trek, Tiffany too hails from a classic theatre background. She began
voice acting for ADVision in 1994, giving voice to characters from
Gunsmith Cats, Guy - Double
Target, Blue Seed, Evangelion, Bubblegum Crisis,
and Devil Hunter Yohko, to name a few.
Noboru Ishiguro
Mr. Ishiguro is one of the best-recognized and best-respected members of the anime industry. His
directing credits include
Robotech, Macross: Ai Oboeteimasuka (AKA Macross, SDF-1 Macross: Do
You Remember Love?), Astroboy, Megazone 23,
and Space Cruiser Yamato.

Taliesin Jaffee
A true Renaissance man, Taliesin came into voice acting not as an extension of his childhood acting
career but as an anime fan. From cosplayer to voice actor, voice director, sound producer and writer,
Taliesin began acting at an early age, playing in the Michael Keaton film
Mr. Mom.

Senno Knife
While his works are too numerous to mention, anime fans should recognize Valkyr, Eden, Sepia,
Akuma (Devil), Horror Show, Shitaro (Deathboy
) series and others.
Tsukasa Kotobushi
Like a musician who prefers club dates to arena shows, Kotobuki's heart is in the self-published
doujinshi where he started as an artist, but his career is in anime character design.

Takao Koyama
Mr. Koyama's illustrious career includes writing for such shows as Dragonball, Gatchaman, Project
A-ko, Urusei Yatsura, Saint Seiya, Dr. Slump, Shurato, Time Bokan, NG Knight Lamume & 40
and
Slayers
as well as 13 of the 14 Dragonball movies. Mr. Koyama is also the founder of Brother Noppo,
a writer's collective that he started with his proteges.

Jason Lee
Typically cast as a smart-alec, Jason's anime voice credits include Blue Seed, Burn Up W and Neon
Genesis Evangelion.


Amanda Winn Lee
Lending her talents to 11 principal characters in 11 different series, Amanda's credits include Neon
Genesis Evangelion, Devil Hunter Yohko and Wonder Three.


Helen McCarthy
Helen, the author of many popular books including The Anime! Movie Guide, was the first person in the UK
to run an anime program at a convention, start a dedicated anime newsletter, and edit a dedicated anime
magazine. In addition, Helen was the first person in the English speaking world to write a book on anime.

Scott McNeil
A perennial convention favorite, Scott's voice acting credits include roles in Beast Wars, Mega Man,
Ranma 1/2,
and, most notably, "Picolo" in Dragonball Z. Says Scott, "I never get the leads…. I
always play like the best friend of the guy who the series is named after."

Dr. Susan Napier
Assc. Professor of Asian Studies, UT(Austin), she also authored The Fantastic in Modern Japanese
Literature
and received a Guggenheim Fellowship for her book Anime from Akira to Princess
Mononoke: Experiencing Contemporary Japanese Animation.

Giles Poitras
Giles first discovered anime in San Francisco's Japantown in 1977. The cinematic effects, never
before seen in animation, gave way to a lifelong fascination with the art form. His passion for film
inspired Giles to write

Nobuyuki Takahashi
Publisher of several anime magazines though his company, Studio Hard, Takahashi is credited with
coining the term "cosplay," an integrated part of anime fandom. He is currently building a national
anime center in Tokyo.

Sachiko Uchida
Sachi is a multi-talented translator/interpreter for Studio Ironcat who learned English as a youngster in
Tokyo. While in high school she started work as a radio DJ and now does a nationally syndicated
radio show, "Club Beat Freek," interviewing different J-Pop and Western artists.
Makoto Uno
Makoto has worked on a wide variety of projects; his credits include animation director for Turn-A
Gundam
, chief animation director for Daiguard and animation director of ZOIDS.

Amy Howard-Wilson
The voice of the first U.S. anime heroine - "Nova" (Mori Yuki) in Starblazers (Space Battleship
Yamato)
, her numerous credits include the voice of "Miranda" in The Irresponsible Captain Tyler.
