"Sometimes we try too hard to make things happen. Sometimes you have to just sit back and let things happen and eventually, you get where you're needing to go." |
- John Winn |
Tempest Productions was introduced to John when Angie Alexander, Caddo's Producer/Director, was treated to one of John's sunset tours for her birthday. As Angie and her husband were the only people on the tour that evening, they got to know John and heard about his life story. Flash forward a month and the call for teams for the "Eighth Day of Creation" short film competition where teams form across the country have 7 days to complete a six-minute film based around a theme. Angie and Caddo's editor, Mike Hathaway, attend the the theme announcement party for eDOC2. Upon hearing the theme ("The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing") she instantly knew that John's story was the perfect match. Caddo Heart was shot in a day, edited in one day and went on to win Honorable Mention at the festival. The short film has since been slightly expanded to include credits and additional footage of the incredible beauty found at the Lake. |
